Overview

After the chapters on training and recovery, let’s tie it all together on how to track progress, and troubleshoot issues when progress is stalled.

First up, you should be regularly tracking data. This starts with filming your sets and the classic logbook, but no less important are metrics outside of the gym.

Second, the concept of fitness standards (or strength standards). This can be a useful guideline to gauge your own relative progress, but should not be taken too seriously.
